Our Founding High Priestess is Jennifer Teixeira, author of books like 'Temple of the Bones,' '9 Moons of Hekate,' and 'Sorceress of Angra.' We affectionately call her "Bird" in our Sacred Space, and she has fifteen years of experience running ritual circles.  Bird also writes for the Humboldt Herbals Newsletter and contributed to the book "Modern Witchcraft with the Greek Gods" by Jason Mankey and Astrea Taylor. Plus, you can find her articles in Plant Healer and Herbaria magazines.

Bird was ordained as a High Priestess in the Wildflower tradition in 2009 and became an Amazon High Priestess in 2011. Since then, she has been leading rituals. She has conducted public and open rituals throughout the San Francisco Bay Area, Orange County, Humboldt County, and even in Glastonbury, England.

High Priestess Yemaya Kimmel is a multifaceted artist and spiritual leader deeply rooted in her connection to Hekate. As a talented singer, songwriter, and musician, she has toured across the USA, enchanting audiences with her voice and ryhthms that evoke healing within. 

Yemaya was ordained as a High Priestess in 2023 and before that she has passionately served as the director and one of the founders of the Redwood Coast Covenant of Unitarian Universalists Pagan chapter in Bayside, California.  An accomplished herbalist and ritualist, Yemaya combines her love for nature with her musical gifts, creating transformative experiences for those who participate in her ceremonies. 

Her magical voice and sincere approach to spiritual practice make her a modern-day maven of the Herbal Arts and a beloved figure within her community. Dedicated to nurturing, educating, and celebrating diverse practices, Yemaya invites others to embrace the bounty of nature through her work with Redwood Coast CUUPS.
